Rapid Development Services. developed new technology for welding and finishing of less then 1/32 thick stainless steel panels. The machine automatically loads and unloads the panels. Panels are welded, grinded, and polished automatically. This 6-axis robotics cell welds various size and shape panels and incorporates a robotic search function to compensate for the variances in parts size and shape from lot to lot. This self-teaching, self programming feature automatically programs the welding and finishing robots for new coordinates of the part.
