Job Description: The Machine Control Electrician will build and wire control
panels from schematics, use knowledge of Allen Bradley hardware, and install
field wiring for automatic industrial equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Build and wire control panels from schematics, including PLCs (Allen
Bradley ControlLogix, SLC 500) - Install and wire machine components and equipment for entire machine,
including remote devices and interfacing to existing equipment - Install power and controls distribution, including wireway and rigid and
flexible conduit to components and equipment - Install pneumatic systems, motor control systems, hydraulic systems,
instrumentation, and industrial wiring including circuits up to 480 volts - Install, wire, and test machine for start-up at customer site
- Work with blueprints and follow National Electrical Code wiring standards
- Maintain safe work practices
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of experience in machine control wiring
- Ability to inspect, troubleshoot, and identify / correct any problems with
equipment - Understanding of National Electric Code
- Apply safety practices in the work environment
